Vertigo — Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Vertigo needs the GroupWise system name for its license. Where can I find the name of my GroupWise name?
A: If you start Vertigo, it's the name of the upper (root) node in the tree view on the left side. You can also start ConsoleOne, select 'GroupWise System' in the tree view, right click and then select 'Information'. In the caption of the screen that follows, the GroupWise system name is the string after 'Information'. Last, but not least, it's also available in the Vertigo's 'Help, About' screen.

Q: Vertigo needs the number of users in my GroupWise system for its license. How does that work?
A: Vertigo counts all users in your GroupWise system. Inactive accounts, resources, external entities, disabled accounts are taken into account. The number which Vertigo has counted can be found in Vertigo s Help, About  screen. Please contact your GWAVA sales person for any additional questions about licensing.

Why does Vertigo need the GroupWise 7 SP3 Client on the workstation?
A: Because Vertigo uses API calls from the GroupWise 7 SP3 Win32 Client.

Q: How can I configure SOAP/XML on my GroupWise 7 Post Offices?
A: Have a look in the GroupWise 7 Administration Guide in the Chapter 'Post Office Agent', 'Configuring the POA', 'Configuring User Access to the Post Office', 'Supporting SOAP Clients' at http://www.novell.com/documentation/gw7
